Perfect Remote (Chromecast)

Hi, I was trying to cast my IPTV playlist via Perfect Player/Remote to a Chromecast but it doesn't seems to be working. As the Perfect Remote instructions say:

Configure M3U IPTV playlist in the app settings.
When selecting TV select Local/Chromecast playlist.
Then you can watch IPTV on your device or connect
to Chromecast and cast to your TV.

The channels list appear correctly and I connected to the Chromecast (Chomecast/TV now shows a blue "cast" icon only). After choosing a channel to start playing, this blue icon blinks once and then nothing happens.

Was anyone able to cast a stream correctly to a Chromecast via Perfect Remote?

HGTV

I've noticed through several providers, HGTV on weekend mornings is just the screen saver of a firestick/roku. I find it strange that whoever is providing the stream doesn't keep their device awake. Also find it weird there isn't a better way to do it lol. IDK just wanted to rant..

Looking for Latin American and USA movie channels with good EPG

Ok, first of all, I have tested some IPTV services over the last few weeks. I Tried Nitro, tried IPTV66 and I tried DYDStream.

Nitro has a lot of channels. It has most of the Latin American channels I want, but the EPG is really bad. The EPG for the English channels is not accurate at all, and Latin American channels don't even have an EPG.

IPTV66 has a decent EPG and has most of the USA movie channels I want, but many channels don't work. Also, it doesn't have the Latin American channels I want.

DYDstream is good for Latin American channels because most of the Latin American channels have a working EPG. However, the English section does not have an EPG at all.

What am I looking for?

I want to replace Satellite TV. I still use IKS and have Charlie still working great, but I want to cut the cord. I had both, Sky 58w and Charlie 110 ~ 119. I still have Charlie 110 ~ 119 to this day. As you probably already know, Sky 58w worked for Latin American channels but is not working with IKS anymore. Charlie still working for North American channels though. The EPG is great for Satellite TV. I don't care much about FHD channels, all I want is all my channels with good EPG. I don't even need HD 720p.

What I need is all the movie channels in Charlie. That means all channels from channel 300 to channel 388. That includes all the movie channels like HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, The Movie Channel, Flix (haven't seen one single IPTV service with this one yet), Encore, Starz, Epix and Plex. I need an IPTV service with all those channels working and a good EPG. Without a decent EPG, there's no point to cut the cord for me. I don't care much about the rest of the English channels. I want mostly the movie channels.

As for the Latin American channels, I want mostly movie channels like for example Latin American Fox, HBO, Cinemax, etc. I absolutely need the Latin American channel called "Max" (from the Latin American HBO package) and the Latin American channel called "Fox Premium Cinema". Both are channels dedicated to broadcast independent movies.

Granted, Nitro has all these Latin American channels, but the EPG is non-existent. It has some of the English movie channels, but many English movie channels are missing and of course, bad EPG.

Is it even possible to find an IPTV service offering what I need? One that has both, all those Latin American and USA channels with a good, working EPG? If you can help, please let me know. I'm ready to test and order your service through PayPal. I need a list of channels or a demo before I order though. I need to see if the service has what I need. If you can provide custom IPTV service, that would be even better.

As of right now, IKS is king for me. It even has dual audio (Spanish and English) in most movie channels, and of course, it has CC. Please prove me wrong and offer me an IPTV service that makes me cut the cord.

Thanks in advance.

Vader VOD - not working on Dreamlink?

I just switched from PMClub which was cheap but has VOD disabled. I am now using boommedia which is a couple bucks more a month but vod should work. However, I am unable to get anything to play in VOD with my Dreamlink T2. Am I alone or is this a known problem with dreamlink boxes?

best iptv sevice for US-BASED content?

currently using fabiptv. It has an excellent selection and reasonably good quality. But the damn thing buffers like crazy, even with my 300mbit internet connection.
For someone that uses fabiptv, is there a better alternative out there? I don't need 1000+ channels, I just want something that has all the typical US-based entertainment & sports channels that has the best stability & quality. Quality vs quantity ;)
Let me know. Would prefer a free trial so I can A/B it with fab.

Thanks

Perfect player crashes constantly

Any solution to this. I’ve tried stb emulator but that’s crashing as well.

I’ve switched over to folder view on perfect perfect player and it’s not crashing as much but would anyone have an idea for a fix. Even uninstalled and reinstalled, emptied cache so I’m all out of ideas.

If I’m scrolling through it’ll just crash and say “perfect player has stopped”.

Thanks for the help

IPTV/Nvidia Shield/Live Channels

Looking for recommendations for a UK based IPTV service that integrates with the Live Channels app for Android TV. (Nvidia Sheild)

I have tried FABIPTV which works well but as far I can tell it requires thier own app which I'm not a fan of thier front end.

Hoping to use Live Channels as a front end for either thier service if someone knows how or something similar.

Love to hear what IPTV setups you have for your sheild

Rapid IPTV (mostly Portuguese Channels)

Hi, I'm looking for a IPTV provider/reseller for Portuguese FHD/HD channels. So far, I came across several Rapid IPTV resellers for about (75-80€/year) but can't really find that much reviews for their streams. For the trial period the streams seemed fine but I would like to hear from someone who would is their client for sometime.

Can you guys recommend another service that would have that much content and stability for a similar price?

MY IPTV story and a couple of remaining questions

I have a couple of minor questions remaining, but cut the cord a few months ago and am very pleased with where I am today. I knew nothing a few months before that and thought that others might benefit from my journey.

As a bit of background, I had been running a WMC PC with Ceton 4 tuner card for years. iSCSI 2TB from my NAS and scheduled recordings worked very well, when the guide data was correct, which took some work.

The NAS got me started with a Plex server and the channels are a terrific way to watch recent episodes of the major shows. Some of the more obscure channels do not work very well, but the major networks have been great and the commercials are removed for you.

I received an LG smart TV as a birthday gift in August. Started playing with the built-in apps and webOS and came across smartIPTV. Which works and is nice to use the TV remote, but the interface is ugly.

Many google searches later I had a trial sub to an epicstreams reseller and then a month long sub. While the streams themselves were pretty solid, the guide info was horrendous.

Came across a trial of Vaders and their EPG is much closer to correct and the streams have been pretty solid as well. Enough so, that I have not tried any others and purchased a three month sub that will likely get renewed again. The VOD can be hit or miss, but the live TV is damn solid.

I spent many hours with Kodi, Perfect Player, ProgTV (windows and Android) and others. Coming from WMC, the windows based ProgDBV seemed a reasonable choice and the interface was not terrible. I wanted to replace the large WMC machine with a smaller STB type device and after spending more time with PP for Android, purchased a $50 android box from Amazon that worked pretty damn well and if it was just for myself, I would have been perfectly happy with it.

Unfortunately, the family needs a bit more, so I ordered the Formuler z7+ from Amazon and got the T2 like many others. I am returning the T2 and have ordered the Z7+ from another reseller. In the meanwhile, I am getting familiar with DOL2.

I have installed a 16GB SD card and can record streams. But between the Plex channels and Vaders TV catchup, I see very little reason to record much anymore.

What I do need some help with is a link to a DOL user guide if such exists. The software is pretty involved and I would really like a comprehensive reference.

I also cannot seem to make the pause live TV feature work. I have read that others are having similar issues, but some seem to have been fixed by tweaking the external storage, but since I can record a stream, I assume that is not my problem.

This is probably my biggest issue at the moment. If I could get pause/rw/ff of live TV on DOL2, I can make the family happy, with a better experience than WMC all while saving $100/mo on pay tv, which would make me ecstatic.

EDIT: One other thing, even with the sleep function turned off, we get a confirmation request every two hours, which can be a real PITA during a longer movie.

Hope this is helpful to others getting started and appreciate any tips on my issue. Thanks all.
