Where do the channel streams come from?

by Ciwan1859

I am a little bit of a n00b when it comes to IPTVs. Can someone knowledgeable in this area help please.

Where do the channels for IPTV come from? My aunt bought an IPTV box from Turkey (iStar Korea X60000) and she can get all Arabic, Kurdish, Polish, Turkish, English channels on it at a reasonable quality.

She put some numbers in the CCCAM field and some number for a PIN, and boom she was up and running with the channels.

The vast majority of those channels are FTA Satellite channels, but having them via IPTV is much better than setting up an Satellite dish outside the home and all the headache that that brings (wind, rain ...etc)

My question is, how do those channels get to her IPTV box through the internet? What was that CCCAM number she inputted ...etc?

Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You.

"vast majority of those channels are FTA channels"

Not quite. Perhaps the package lineup she was accessing gives her limited access or something, but generally that CCam server is basically IPTV stalker or similar, which is if you want to get down to it, stolen content.

Someone has a legit subscription to satellite service, and is hosting the channels to it's subscribers. That's where it becomes stolen content.

There's a ton of legit services for this, USTVNow, offers 10 local USA channels 100% free with email account signup. Can watch them from my Xbox, a IPTV box (Android box), computer, etc.

Googling some of this stuff will get you in the right direction.
