Watching streams is a grey area, but you're unlikely to get into trouble for doing it. Quote from the media copyright federation: No one in Britain has ever been fined or prosecuted for illegally streaming content... it is not our strategy to prosecute the end user.

The issue I'd have with a paid for IPTV subscription is that you have no real legal protection if they run away with your money. Plus, you can get the same sort of thing with free addons like Phoenix or whatever replaces that when it goes. /r/Addons4Kodi is the best place on reddit to keep up to date with the current top addon.

It's different with torrents, because you're actually providing the copyrighted material yourself when you seed/share.
