Just getting started in cordcutting but before I do need to setup a system first. I dont mind paying $10-$15 a month for reliable IPTV but really want TV Guide capability and especially PVR capability. I think the MAG 254 can do PVR but I could be wrong and not sure about FireTV box. Any suggestions ?
Best to get a fire tv and install kodi and any apk you want.
No pvr capabilities I know of for mag or fire tv. That would be too good.

You can sideload the "stb emulator.apk" onto a firetv and basically turn it into a mag 250. Its only $40 right now. When you launch it, it'll go directly to the TV guide style menu. As far as IPTV PVR, I havent researched it much.
