IPTV and Avoiding trouble with Authorities.

by clowngame

HI guys. I'm more of a set top box seller with Kodi and looking to incorporate IPTV services.

I'm currently trying a bunch of providers and pay with VISA gift cards. So thatpart is anonymous. But what about IP addresses?

Can me or my customers land in heat even though we can assume no papertrail?? I've read that you can get into trouble with IPTV or is it more for the actual providers? Any insight is welcome.

Thanks.

Lots of comments here on DMCA and DirectTV. Are you even an American?

Most Kijiji comments I see come from Canadians and the Toronto Star's legal expert on this felt that accessing iptv services likely were not illegal due to wording of the law in Canada. Distributing might be - reselling? Maybe.

Yes. You are blatantly selling a device that infringes on copyright. This is a violation of DMCA. Directv started suing people who purchased card programmers in the early 2000s.

The fact that you are here asking these kind of questions in a public forum is a sign you should just stop now and save yourself from a fine or jail sentence.
