May I ask if you're switching from the 1st or 2nd gen AFTV? Why are you switching? Too much buffering and freezing? I ask because I'm torn between a Mag 254 and a AFTV2. If it weren't for the AFTV2's more powerful hardware and ability to sideload Kodi then I'd just get the Mag. Not sure how well stbemu performs on the Fire TV as I've only used it on a stick.
I got the MAG254 today, the firmware and device itself is solid.
While the device is good, IPTV provider portals vary in quality (a portal is the provider's UI)... and this is where you may encounter usability issues because the portal implemented by the provider may not be very good or complete.
I know its a bit off topic, but what is a "Mag" box?
I just switched from a Mygica to a Mag 254 and have been very happy so far.
