IPTV offers/resellers that mention specific satellites

by jeffreydonger

For example...Rocket/IKS66/NFPS touts Charlie USA, Charlie MX, Blue Sky, and Red Point 50W ( http://iksprivateserver.com/ )

Does that mean they have (assuming no technical, account, or compatibility problems) every channel that's a part of (for example) Charlie USA? Or does it just mean you can request any channel on those satellites? Or does it not even mean that much?

naa what I think it means they are advertising the ability to connect to those satellites using their iks system. Because when you buy an iptv from them it comes with iks capabilities too.

Don't even bother with it, its more down then it ever up from what I read in their forums. Iks is dying since dish/directtv are gonna implement stronger encryption from what I've read. Stick to iptv its the future, it is a working progress its still in it infancy. The days of FTA are long over

sedatedpoet

you will see a lot of users migrating over to iptv soon.

Dont go with them, they are a nightmare. They are constantly changing their security protocols breaking addons. They also have constant buffering and studdering.

I will not be extending my service.

IKS is pretty well outdated at this point. You can get SD to work, but there is very few devices able to decipher the Bell/Dishnet/Direct signal. There is an older tuner card available, but it is no longer in production and they are somewhat coveted by those who have them, but can be found on e-bay. Likely all current means to use FTA will die off if they switch encryption or formats again.
