[UK] I give up

by nickrob84

After spending two weeks (at least 20 hours) of my time, I have decided to give up trying to find a IPTV/EPG service for Kodi (RPi3 LibreELEC) and will sign up for another 12 months with Sky.

The entire genre is full of resellers, resellers of resellers, resellers that only allow you to use their builds which (after careful) examination of the package contains dangerous dependencies so I've had it.

I currently use Sports access which is great for sports but no other channels. I swear I have been on every site but just in case I haven't is some oft going to save the day?

Look for MBOX_HD_IPTV on Twitter. Always had good service with them.

I've been trying to decide whether to go full IPTV over Sky. What dangerous dependencies are you referring to? Enough for you to refrain from even using the paid services?

I haven't seen one paid provider which asks you to use their Kodi build. Are you looking at paid or free providers?

Some of the paid providers do have their own builds but you don't have to use them, simply install just the addon for the program and not the full build from the repo.

ntv.mx works great. Been with them for 1 month - great quality, no complaints.

  • Im running kodi with their plugin on a RPi3 (osmc).

I agree with Nickrob84, I've tried 2 IPTVs services and had issues with Both RuyaXL and MBox.

Got quite a few replies to try IPTVSubs but can't access their Site. Reboot TV (but doesn't have Sky Channels) but still awaiting more suggestions but I'll keep a lookout on here. I rather not sign up to Sky lol.

I also used to use Kodi - xbmc back in the days but there's quite a bit of hassle on use and all. Right now using a new IPTV provider and so far so good. They got the movies on demand covered as well like xbmc and also have plenty live TV channels (all in English though). Sky is way too expensive if you ask me+ these guys have Sky channels covered. Personally I prefer to save a $ on TV services since these days you can pretty much see anything online for free Here's their site if you want to have a look PremierUKTV
