Using iptv on Apple TV ok or should I purchase a different box?

For what i have read, i'd get an android box. Apple are restrictive in what you can do.

There are a number of IPTV apps available for the Apple TV, I've started using rIPTV which has EPG so that comes in handy. Also the interface is nice a lot smooth in my opinion than Kodi.
