Bit rate?

by CitizenCave

How relevant is a provider's bit rate? I'm thinking of going with Rapid IPTV but their HD bit rate is 3250 kps, compare that to Premium IPTV which is 15000 kps.

Is Rapid IPTV low quality picture/not HD?

3250 is really decent for streaming, it's above what's out there

15000kbps (15Mbps) from Premium IPTV, I truly wanna see/measure that before saying it's true... To stream with such bitrate, either you're rich or you own servers because the bandwidth usage/price is going to be crazy high...

For reference, 1hour of 15Mbps footage is approx. 6.5GB, so in a month that's almost 5TB. And that's just for one channel...

I'd take all of these specs with a grain of salt. It's like manufacturers rating their own brightness on their TVs.

If you have kodi and a keyboad press O and it will give you some information.

In relation to your question I can say,

SD is not the same as HD, its still a good picture but not crisp. Premium I have not validated so cant say, Magic will be checked this evening but I can say they use the same HD provider from what I can see on Sky sports so there is no way its 15MB, but I will test when I am home :)

Can anyone say from experience which provider with Sports has the best bitrate / stream quality? Would like to up the quality on mine if possible, using sportsmania currently satisfied with everything apart from the quality.
