You can try torula. They're not exactly the same as, or in direct competition with, Smoothstreams so it may or may not be what you're looking for. They have lots of sports but not all, and everything is 540p. They have 24/7 streams of their channels so it's more like an IPTV service vs a sports streaming service. It's costlier too but the tradeoff is you get more entertainment type channels.
I use Kodi so I can't comment on their plex addon but I know they have one.
Really if what you need is just sports, Smoothstreams can't be beat. It's really a great value. If you want a broader channel list torula and Ruya are good for that while still having a lot (but definitely not all) sports for a higher price.
