I'm looking for a nice 'sky' style replacement and was wondering what you all thought the best services with good UX / UI are?
I'm also a designer interested in designing for IPTV services for free / subscription, so if any providers need any help with the design of their apps DM me for portfolio / dribbble info :)

You didn't mention what devices you're using. I assume you mean Web based iptv? As for android boxes, I really like the ui of the dreamlink t1, and it has blazing speeds :)
Mag UI sucks, AVOV sucks (in terms of EPG and support, never on point), stb emulator same as MAG UI, which in our opinion is not up to par. Best option is find android app custom to your needs or Kodi add-on that does that job with a proper EPG service (we are looking for solid provider) that can meet your needs.
Ruya is the best looking UI I've seen and it's one of a kind. The rest are all very similar
