Iptv optimization

by aikeybreaky

Hey all, just started using iptv with kodi yesterday for the first time (using an alienware gaming laptop/vpn). I am using USAIPTV with the PVR Simple iptv client. It is set up as directed from the websites guide. Most channels work, but there's a lot of buffering on a lot of channels(haven't tried every channel, there's over 500). I get that you get what your pay for, (this is a pay service $10/mo), but is this pretty typical for iptv services? Is there anything I could do to optimize my setup? Right now the laptop is using wifi, but I will hard wire to router today...even on wifi I was still getting spotted of over 80-90mbps. Thoughts?

most likely the server can't keep up with all the users watching tv at the same time or their server is on the other side of the world compared to your location.

I wouldn't bother troubleshooting your internet connection, as it's highly unlikely that's your problem. On average (as per Netflix) an HD stream should be able to work on a minimum 5 mbps connection. Although I wouldn't recommend this, I assure you the issue is not on your end.

This buffering is normal behavior for most kodi related streaming/plugins.

There are some rock solid iptv providers out there (check ipguys) that should get you the reliability you are looking for and are around the same price point.

There are many providers you can try out. Voodoo is another one that seems to be very popular and has a good amount of HD content and sport content (if you want to call iptv HD at all)... But suffers similar buffering issues thst many other servers do.

There are quite a few resellers out there that offer trials, stick to one of those and use as many services as you can :)

Try to do some traceroutes to your providers servers, and look at the times...

But my guess is that their server is just far from where you are or you have terrible ping...
