Recommendation for Hardware

by thatgermanbro

Hi! I wanna watch 1080p / 4K streams. I am thinking about getting rapidiptv and am looking for fitting Hardware. Right now I am using the Smart TV App for my Samsung TV. What can you recommend? I hear Mag and Android TV a lot. Just not sure what is the best?

Dreamlink t1 or avov tvonline4 support 4k and stalker middleware out of the box (software used for iptv withiut having to get into emulators and mods).

That said, I've been around iptv a long time, and install home automation systems and custom home theatres... And I will tell you straight up...

.. You will not find a iptv streaming 4k. Realistically, you won't find 1080p (without huge amounts of compression).

Im sorry to shatter your dreams :(

Any reseller that tells you otherwise is lying. You're best to lock in a rock solid, reliable provider such as ipguys which will get you 720p at best.

If you must have true HD, you will need to set up some form of htpc, perhaps running sonar or couch potato, and stream that to your dreamlink t1 or avov via kodi.

The mag will get you rock solid iptv, but won't be able to Stream your 4k or 1080p local content on your lan.

dreamlink t1 or nvidia shield tv would be my picks =)

I don't think you need anything particularly special. What's wrong with the current Samsung TV app?

P. S. Which provider are you getting your 4k streams from?

Raspberry pi3 running kodi, it's cheap, easy to use and powerful enuff to do 4k
