As the title says, I have a MAG 254 box and I am looking for a programming provider that does mostly US programming. I also want one that has a good EPG. I'm looking for one that has almost all, if not all English content (nothing against foreign language speakers, I just don't use those channels and I want most of the provider's bandwidth dedicated to channels I use. Therefor, 65 Tamil channels does't particularly impress me.) I have a couple cheap providers that do great with live sports and I'll keep those around, so sports is not a big priority. I also use torrents, so PPV and on-demand is not particularly a plus to me, but time-shifting would be appreciated. US based servers would be a bonus, but isn't a necessity. What is being offered and service is more of a priority to me than money, so cost is not a huge concern. I'm using a MAG box, so obviously I'm not interested in cable-esque prices, but I understand the costs involved with providing decent service.
If you're a reseller peddling your magic subscription, you better have a free trial for me to check out if you want me to consider it. I'm not trying to scam free trials, but if you're gonna make a buck or three off of me, I'd like to know what I'm getting for my cash.
I know it's a load of requests, but you guys are a knowledgeable group that is definitely not without it's opinions. Thanks.
Most providers are really pushing internationals. I too, don't speak any languages more than english, so I was in the same boat as you.
Out of all the servers I used, I found ipguys to be the most reliable. Lots of Canadian and USA content. But just don't expect 1080p quality from iptv.
We see lots of posts of people asking about 4k and HD, it's just not going to happen.
Some providers have watermarks on their channels that say 4k, but its not rebroadcasted in 4k. Maybe the original source is. But that's a different topic!
I assume reliability over picture quality for you since you seem to use torrents. Any HD networked tv shows that are important to you you probably already download.
Consider using sonarr or couch potato to automate all of your life in full HD glory :D
