Let me start off with that I rarely leave reviews for anything online, i do find myself coming across many reviews online that do help me but I rarely do them myself, there comes a time though when I try or buy a new product or service that surprises me with how good it is and how much I enjoy it
The service i am reviewing is a IPTV service, i only discovered this Ruya thing yesterday only because my aerial on my home decided to suddenly stop working a couple of days before Christmas
Knowing that i needed something to watch over Christmas instead of just movies that i already have i was searching online on how to watch UK TV on Kodi and it brought back loads of addons including freeview for Kodi which I found to be rubbish because for me it rarely works, there was also phoenix which has a live TV section, that was not too bad but none of the US channels worked for me which could be because i am in the UK but there were UK channels too and only some of those worked and when they did they were poor quality and only the boring channels worked
After continuing my search for more live TV addons i come across a post on reddit that recommended some Ruya thing that i had never heard of before, in the post were some links to some Ruya providers on Twitter and Facebook
The first provider I come across was @ruya_provider on Twitter and at first I was completely clueless what i was getting myself into when I first sent a DM to this provider, for most of his day I suppose he must have felt like a school teacher whenever I sent him a DM, eventually I started a trial to see what this was all about, a couple of minutes after installing the addon and putting in some login details I was already loving this Kodi addon, i was getting all these movie, sports, music and other TV channels, all in HD like quality too, a couple of months ago i was considering a TV package from virgin media but i think in total for all channels from them it was close to £80 I think but that price may have been on top of my broadband which I obviously already have
This service is £18 a month which I can just about manage a month, I may not manage it every month but that is to do with my financial situation, which has not been in a good way this month with Christmas burning away all the money
It looks like this review went on for a while that was not the plan and because of that I will leave a TLDR at the bottom but if you looking for a IPTV service especially over Christmas or for all year round get onto @ruya_provider on Twitter which also has links to website where you can find more information about pricing or just send a DM he is helpful and I usually get a response in a couple of minutes
TLDR because i went on for a while, this Ruya IPTV thing is awesome and @ruya_provider is one of those people who provide the service, I am sure there is also loads more available but I see no need to look any further with the awesome addon and service I have been provided with
A review after less than 24 hours, some advice, judge it after an extended period.
FWIW I used Ruya earlier this year, June and July quite honestly it was excellent, August came along and the football season started and it turned in to an absolutely collossal cluster fuck. Constant buffering, channel drops, freezes, it wasn't worth the effort of even trying to bother using it. It may well have improved beyond recognition in the months since I stopped using it but once bitten twice shy for this user.
Between SmoothStreamsTV for all my sporting needs and a private tracker for everything else it's safe to say that my cord is well and truly cut and I don't miss the money grabbing official providers one iota.
