To be honest, most providers aren't even making the switch to 5.0, is it backwards compatible?

If not, this release is pointless? I'm interested in giving this a try. Time to break out the old dusty roku!

Sounds like a pretty dumb idea to me. Why would anyone want this?

Awsome. I noticed a report about the application failing to keep saved portals. I will publish an update tommrow with this fixed. Also, I'm noticing some people would like a list of known/working portals. I'm looking for any portal operators who want to be on the list.

I originally developed it against v4, but the recent instance is against v5. AFAIK the interface has changed enough between v4 and v5 where vod probably won't work but live might. I don't have an installed v4 portal to test.

I have updated the application. It has the following new features:

  • longer login/password fields for portals requiring up to 20 characters.
  • clear the portal list using the rewind character
  • better handling of the client_type and metrics login parameters.
  • proper saving of portals (there was a bug, this is fixed)
