Informir asking for my credit card digits and ID card ??

by ellen_pao

I attempted to purchase a mag box from informir ( USA ) and got the below email:

Hello,

Thank you for your order.

According to anti-fraud policy, because your shipping and
billing addresses different, we are required to have a copy of
your ID and a matching card statement showing last 4 digits
of the card you used for payment.

This is done for your protection as well as for ours.

 Thank you for your cooperation
 Have a nice day

 Regards,

Can anyone confirm legitimacy or shed any light ??

Hmm, I haven't personally seen this but you should be okay if it's just the last 4 digits. As an owner of an ecommerce site in the past, I know that sometimes we need to double check orders and this can happen.

If just double check your order went to a legit site in the first place. If you entered your order on a scam site originally, the last 4 digits is the least of your concerns

Rapid does it too even if address is the same.

I just blurred all of my info except my name and last four digits of my credit card.

Use your common sense. Do you really want to give your ID details to a service that sells pirated streams?! Common!
