Pretty sure you can change the screen size from the remote control bottom right or left button.
I'm noticing this in Kodi as well, and there are a few channels where no video option will get the correct aspect ratio, and I can't find any way of not having to manually correct it every time I load the channel.
Would also love to find a way to limit the channels that are loaded by PVR Stalker Client, but I guess I'm hijacking at this point...
Actually, in terms of the mag254, all channels originally show up in 4:3 even the HD stations.
This is actually an issue with the mag and the way the provider is sending the information.
For example, if you hit stretch on the mag the picture looks perfect! Hitting stretch DOESNT "stretch" it. It actually displays properly.
So, assuming all the channels with ipguys is 4:3 is actually not accurate.
I'm not sure why the mag does this with ipguys, but changing the channel to stretch one time fixes it and should save the setting next time you visit the channel so it doesnt happen again.
In short, this is nothing to be concerned about. Even the 16:9 stations default to 4:3 on the mag, and stretching them brings it back to 16:9
