Few clarifications before I start.

Ignore the list in this subreddit. It's full of resellers and it's just a disaster. Lots of people choose from there then come back complaining.

For sports, smoothstreams us generally referred to one of the better services, but you do pay a premium for that and general content is limited/non existent. Many have another service like ipguys or express or other alongside smoothstreams for the ultimate setup.

The problem here will be your setup. The pie and Kodi will be a source of problems, some that can be resolved and many that won't be. I won't get into that on here, but there is lots of information on this subreddit and the IPTV restrictions that Kodi has. These restrictions will be magnified on a pie, as there are other Linux builds of Kodi that already have their own issues (such as working epg or half working epgs)

I'm in the UK and i have gone with Flawless IPTV + Sportsmania in the past. I tried smoothstreams for a month and it buffered badly.

You should be ok at that speed. I would suggest you try Sportsmania if they are still accepting customers as it's cheap and allows you to dip your toe (they also have great support). Rapid is more expensive but offers a wider range of channels.

The short answer is that with a 30Mbps connection, your issue is the quality of free services. If free services provided consistent quality then the subscription services would cease to exist.

I second stokedcrf that smoothstreams provides a quality sports focused service at a premium price. If you are looking for a mixture of sports and entertainment channels then RapidIPTV would be a better option.

SmoothStreams is really great, in my opinion... If you're focused on sports, you really should go with them.

They have a 10Gbps server in London so unless you have a shitty ISP, their HD streams should play just fine... It's 540p or 720p max, though, no 1080p (unless on some rare PPV events)... But their streams look good enough, I don't think you will complain!

In case you wanna see for yourself, here's a 1 minute recording I just did of the Southampton/Liverpool game from their Sky Sports 1 stream.

Same as you, rasp pi 3 with kodi. I tried ipguys two days ago and it works fine in Kodi with the stalker service and built in epg

This is my first dive into iptv also

Hi everyone I'm new to Reddit but have been a long time lurker coming here to learn stuff until today.

I live in Chicago and last year I finally "cut the cord" and stopped paying the cable company here (Comcast) for their overpriced tv.

I just pay for internet and get my local tv channels using an indoor hd antenna. I use Netflix and watch my Patriots (football) with nfl2go.com from my laptop to my tv. This all works great!

But now I want to get more channels and have been reading up on iptv and to say the least I'm very interested.

So now I am looking for good advice for the following.

1- What iptv box is the best? The Mag 254 or the Dreamlink T1 or ??

2- What is the best iptv provider for USA cable channels and a great sports package? I want the best quality picture.

Thanks again for the help!
