I bought my Android box from a reseller, if I want to go solo. How would I go about it? Do I need to talk to him to remove my MAC address from his system. Or will it be released once my monthly subscription ends?

You don't need to request it to be removed unless your planning on getting the same service.
Most boxes can have 5+ panels stored in them all at once.
But, it doesn't hurt. Usually they fall off the reseller panels every few months. I'm not sure exactly the time line though
Question: If I've got three profiles set up in StbEmu, One (IPTV66) through one reseller, and another (Voodoo) through another reseller. Both using the same MAC. When I tried to add a third (IPGUYS) through the same reseller as the Voodoo account (using that same MAC) they couldn't because it was "already on the network" and had to issue me a generated one. Not a problem as of now because I'm runnng StbEmu. But...I'm about to start running a Mag 254, so my question is: How do you know what is "the same network"? Is any service through the same reseller going to be "on the same network"? If I had been testing on the Mag 254 I couldn't have used the bogus MAC to get the IPGUYS profile added. Sorry if this may have needed a separate thread.
Yes, please request the seller to remove the MAC from the system. It will not automatically get released, unless the supplier does it.
