I watch EPICstream on VLC all the time with default settings. I don't think its the VLC, but probably the feed you are watching.
It sounds like you are trying to use a paid subscription together with a lot of other people who 'found' the same link. The provider's system is likely set to cut off multiple streams after 30 seconds.
you just posted your subscription info to others :/ you shouldn't do that
