Quick comparison: iptvsubs vs ipguys vs voodoo

by zaptor99

I'm new to iptv and got myself a mag 254W2. I'm interested in Canadian, US and Arabic channels. Here is my review after 4 days of use of ipstvsubs, ipguys and voodoo:

iptvsubs:
-Great resolution.
-Stable so far, but they keep havving issues with their website, forums, etc.
-Most Canadian and US channels are available, with logos. Sports channels like TSN, Sportsnet, ESPN etc are working. Most Bein Arabic sports are not available
-Most arabic channels are available but many stutter. Not buffering, just skipping and stuttering.
-Expensive

ipguys:
-Lower resolution. Most channels display with black bars on side or top and bottom. You can change the fit using the most lower left button on the remote, but have to do that after every channel change. Or you can change the picture size on the TV to stretch, or what have you, but still looks funny and it stretches the EPG as well.
-Very stable and channels appear right away
-Most Canadian and US channels are available including sports. No logos. My most watched channel CTV Toronto is jumbled up for some reason. Been like this for 4 days
-Less arabic channels but very stable
-Good price

Voodoo:
Without going into details, it's just a mess for my needs. Has the most channels but many duplicates. Many don't work. CTV Toronto shows the words "no signal". My least favourite for sure.

I will keep testing them for the month and decide on which one to keep. It's between iptvsubs and ipguys, but leaning more towards iptvsubs.
Any other services worth trying that gives me good resolution stable service for Cdn, US and arabic channels?

This is disappointing as I was going to try Voodoo next when I got my Dreamlink. Could you talk a little bit more about what else you didn't like about it? Duplicate channels? Why was it a mess for your needs?

May I ask how you are getting IPguys? I'm pretty new to this but I think you need to go through a reseller to get their streams right?

I'm trying IPTVsubs for a month and it's pretty good... but I've never tried any other service. The Italian channels were not working on one evening and there are a few channels that never seem to work but overall pretty solid stability and quality. I don't watch it a heck of a lot though.

Edit: IPTVsubs came out to 17.40 $ CAD for a one-month sub just a few days ago... but that's obviously going to fluctuate a little with the exchange rate.

My current provider (ACE IPTV) has started advertising a new package as containing 70 Arabic channels. I do not have this package (because I don't need the Arabic or German channels) but I am happy with the quality of their US and Canadian channels (but Sportsnet has been unavailable for a while).

Hey,

I can also provide a trial for Epicstreams IPTV. Its a newer service, but provides great video quality streams.

Channel List: http://pastebin.com/x7r5WPxY

Offers Kodi, VLC, SmartTV or STB box support (MAG, Dreamlink, Avov, etc)

Send me a PM if you are interested in Epic or IPGUYS. Both options are available

This is not an accurate review of these services to be honest.

Some of the issues you're experiencing are unique to the mag only, ie black bars on ipguys. This doesn't happen on any of the Android boxes. See my video reviews in /r/iptvgta for more info on that.
