I have been using Ruya for the past 3 days. I am quite happy with the picture quality and wide selection of channels but their Kodi add-on (SmartHub) leaves much to be desired. The official Ruya price list lists Mag devices as compatible but when I asked SmartHub, the Ruya provider, if I could use their service on Stalker Client or StbEmu, they said that only official Infomir devices are supported. I don't really know all the technical details but I thought StbEmu would support any IPTV service which worked on a Mag device. Does anyone have any experience with running Ruya on the Stalker Client or StbEmu?
SmartHub wasn't very helpful but I was able to get the url for Mag devices from Ruya Support (guess they are the ones behind the service?). I am now able to stream using StbEmu Pro.
Some of the channels run fine when Media player is set to Auto but most of the channels show an error message 'Sorry, but it seems that the stream for X is experiencing technical problems at this moment'. When I set the Media player to 'ljk', most of the channels (mainly UK) which displayed the error stream fine. However, there are still channels (most of them are USA) that do not play no matter which Media player I choose. When I tried SmartHub Kodi add-on, I was able to stream all channels (even the ones which fail to stream on StbEmu) - I believe there are no problems with these channels.
Does anyone have experience with StbEmu? This is my first time with the app so I might be missing a few key options here. Any configuration tips?
I am using a Sony Bravia Android TV (Marshmallow).
