How do I know I am on a private subscription? The guy set it up at the store and I have no clue how this works. I catch channels (TV and PPV) but doesn't everyone with a private subscription?
Do I even need a "private" subscription or can I just use this thing for free?
Why does it have two power buttons? How do I turn it off and where in God's name is the exit button?
Sorry, just a total newb here.
The two 'power' buttons on top left and right corners of remote are blue and red respectively.
BLUE: to program buttons on remote
RED: to power on/off device.
There are also android apps remotes in playstore. Informir has MAGic Remote and there is another 3rd party one... think its called Mag 250 Remote but works on other builds too.
It wasnt intuitive to me as well but your mag should have come with a box and small manual/guide. READ IT.

I didn't even know there was a mag252 :/ Are you sure it's a 252 and not a 254?
Mags can't really be used for free. They usually work with stalker servers which are "paid services".
Not sure what the 2 buttons are you speak of.
The mag 254 is one of the most popular boxes worldwide. Should you have one of those, you may get a lot more support.
I'd recommend asking some of these questions to the guy that sold you the box. Specifically, as him what tv service it is you're using (the name of the provider) and how much it will cost each month.
Then let us know and we can take it from there :) There are about 16 different providers out there you can go with, and many are scams and not worth a cent, but a few are very good!
