Iptv-epg is pretty handy. Still have to link the channels to the guide with your client. But EPG is good.
Too be honest, I haven't tried to do any customization other than load the m3u and link EPG but you can try ProgDVB (which I mainly use now) or Perfect player on windows
I'd like to know this as well. Im experienced with stalker servers but not really with m3u8 :)
