I ask myself that all the time. But I see it day in, day out.

A co-worker and I were talking one day about IPTV, and he's like:

"I'd love to give that a try one day!"

I said to him, would you like to borrow my box? And he goes

"wait what, is that an android box? I don't want an android box, got one sitting at home never use it, it's crap".

It really makes me sad to see that so many people write off fantastic IPTV services just because they think an iptv=android.

The Chinese have flooded the markets again with more garbage just to make a quick dollar. It will take some time before IPTV can get the reputation back it deserves.

As someone who knows nothing about these boxes - please let me ask a noob q - why is this a ridiculous product to buy? Overpriced and full of free software you can easily put on yourself?

One of my old roommates fell for the $180 kodi box at the county fair. I laughed at his face and told him how ripped off he got but he defended it like he knew what he was talking about. Saw the same people two days later at the same fair trying to swindle some old people into buying it so I had to intervene and let them know it was shite.
