Avov History

by zaptor99

I've seen many posts regarding Avov shutting down back in the summer, then many posts saying that was false. So, this site is up and running: http://avovtech.net/
But this fb page and link say they are out of business.

Are these 2 different companies? or was the old site and fb page hijacked and they moved to a new website? The old sites say they are based in Toronto while the new site says they're in Asia.

I know, it is all a bit strange. I will be giving my money to infomir if they ever get round to releasing their new boxes.

Avov never went out of business. I have no affiliation with them, but I'm familiar with them because their head offices are a few minutes from my house.

They are as legit as legit comes.

I haven't heard thrm say it myself, but I can only assume they are not actually fighting against mag. They seem to be targeting companies like cisco and other main providers of middleware and stuff for legit companies (for example, Rogers cable uses cisco boxes).

Basically, it looks like they really want to provide commercial services.

But in no way did they ever go out of business.

It's crazy for people to write them off.

Im a huge fan of stalker from informir and I run their servers myself. BUT I have much respect for avov, not to mention thry are already released boxes that support h265.

There's no other efficent way to get 4k or 1080p right now, and I look forward to trying out their new h265 devices on my servers.

Im already pushing 1080p special events with stalker, but I might change completely over to Nova (avov) if it's half as good as they are saying.

I've already got 265 transcoding ready to go on my server. As soon as I get my hands on this new AVOV box I'll be trying it out :D

Right now, informir is behind the times.

Yes, it seems they are doing a lot to advance the technology. It's just they never gave an explanation of what happened to their fb page or their website. The last post on their fb page says they are out of business. I can only suspect it was hijacked, but you'd think they would sort it out by now.

The damage is done for both providers , names are linked with piracy and IPTV just like Kodi with addons.
