Please Reccomend an HD provider for US/Canada Channels

by Neymarmessiop

Hello, I just bought a MAG 254 after cutting the cord with Shaw TV. I have a really good internet connection (Shaw 150) and I am hoping I can run channels on HD. The one problem is I don't know which providers have HD. I have tried IPSATPRO which claimed they are all HD. I have recieved the worst experience ever. Channels would turn off after few minutes of watching. Some would have no sound and some would literally be 4:3 (most of them actually). Plus he has 10 different versions of each channel and only one or two would be working so you'd have to look through all of them. Sometimes every single channel would just not work for a few days. I should have done better research. Anyways here is my criteia: Must have some or most 720P channels (1080P channels) I'm mainly looking for the sport ones to be HD so TSN, ESPN, Sportsnet, TNT etc. NBA League pass channels would be a huge huge bonus (same goes for NHL) Having UK channels like BBC and sky sports would be a bonus but not really needed. Must be able to work on MAG 254 and be overall reliable. I'm okay if a channels goes down but it has to be fixed and not just left down for few weeks. I have looked at the document with all the providers in this subforum but I can not decide which one and not really willing to try each one for a month so I can decide. Please share your experiences! Thank you.

I was in the same boat as well. I need a lot of English content with sports.

Check out my review of one I am using (FabIPTV)

Has all NBA and NHL games in their package for $7 a month.

Did you try setting the aspect on the remote? I had to do my channels manually.

I have the MAG 254, using IPGUYS. I'm on day 2, I'm not much help.

Pretty much everything you're looking for on your mag you can get, except you're putting too much emphasis on HD.

There is no such thing as HD iptv despite what resellers tell you. If they promise you HD, you're going to be very disappointed as you have probably already noticed.

You may, and I use it very losely , find 720p content but it will still be highly compressed (except to see blurring artifacts on fast moving video etc).

My recommendations for reliability would be ipguys, but it is widely known their bitrates are lower than other servers and have less channels.

At this point I recommend iptv express, plus the newer software allows for mobile tv on the go. Double the stations of ipguys and better quality stations.

Haven't been using it long enough to know how reliable it is, but so far this week it's been great. Better than ipguys is to be determined.

I value express much higher than ipguys and I have both.

If you need express and not sure where to get it send me a pm I'll try to help you out

Trying FabIPTV out.. Like the channel line up a lot and how everything is organized.. Also like there are no Adult Channels..

If this 1 month works well, may be my IPTV choice for a while..

To be honest, Jinx tv or Gears Tv meets your requirements EXACTLY. I have both now and love the USA HD content and sports coverage.
