I just found out about IPTV and want to buy a subscription somewhere, but I haven't pulled the trigger due to legal concerns. Some google searches haven't really helped much. Basically, I'm in the US and I'm not sure if buying a subscription is legal or not. This quora answer makes it sounds like it's legal, but I'm still not sure. Thoughts?

Long story short... the offers here r/IPTV are not legal (1000 channels for $10/month with VOD of new movies...) On the other hand if you want legal streaming get SlingTV for $20/$25/$40 + channels addons. Hope this help

if you're really worried, use a service that accepts credit cards, and buy a prepaid visa or mastercard or whatever with CASH and use that with a fake name and an alias email address. And if you're really paranoid, use a VPN on top of that.
