What bitrate ranges should I be looking for if I want a crisp, sharp 1080p image? Any suggestions on providers?

It's mostly for sports and formula 1. I want to see a sharp image without motion blur. Any suggestions? 2000kbps or 5000kbps?

Epicstream IPTV service streams at 3000kbps.

Honestly, I don't know many providers that stream at 5000kbps, if they say they do - make sure you actually check it.

How do you check it?

Get a trial for the stream, load it in VLC -> Tools -> Codec Information -> Change tab on the top to: Statistics

Here is me watching ABC HD on Epicstream subscription: http://imgur.com/a/OKEyp

Smoothstreams probably?

None, zero, zilch.

Pay for a real sub, that is the only way you will see the content you are demanding.

While epic does have a few stations in 1080p, they are one of the FEW. In fact, I'd say they are the only provider.

If they don't have what you're looking for, you will not find 1080p.

720p is all you will find with iptv unless you get a legit cable subscription. Most of us have been around for years and have come to terms with this already.

1080p 2000kbps is far too low and will look worse than 720p at 2000kbps.

I run some 1080p feeds at 6000kbps and the picture is great, but the because of the high costs involved (and the fact that MANY people in rural areas can't even stream 720p properly) will prevent providers from ever attempting 1080p.

So far, best quality picture I've seen across the most stations is iptv express, but I haven't tested that many web based ones
