IPTV Account Sharing - How Does That Work?

I've seen a lot of deals worked out online where people offer up their Plex library share in exchange for someone sharing their IPTV account. My question is: how do IPTV subscribers accomplish that?

  • Are there some resellers that allow that and some that don't?
  • Are "shared" users logging in to the subcribers account directly with their own STB device?
  • Does the original subscriber have to standup any configuration or self-hosted relay on their end?
  • How are people able to watch two different things at the same time using the same account information?

Im not saying it's not possible, I'm not a hardcore plex user... But this is certainly something new to me.

What you seem to be talking about is a method of restreaming, which unless I'm misunderstanding that's not going to be very practical over plex?

I think they are just sharing their plex library with other plex users. In exchange for Plex library access, some users maybe a IPTV reseller is willing to swap a subscription for access to Plex. That being said IPTV subscription account cannot be shared and will probably be disabled if suspicious activity is seen.
