Question about using 2 IPTV services in KODI Krypton

by Zaximus20

I'm new to IPTV but enjoying it thus far. Took the suggestions from this sub and found that I like vader stream and epicstreams the most and want to use them both in case one has a channel out then I can watch it using the other. I have attempted to use the Simple PVR client trick in Kodi where you add a second PVR addon with the m3u and xml stored locally. So I have Vader on the first client with a network connection and Epic stored locally but on booting Kodi it will read in vader to the guide then it overrides vader with the epic guide. I would like to see them both in the guide. I don't know if this is a limitation of Krypton or what. I added them both in to Perfect Player but having a hard time hiding the groups that I don't want to see as I dont need the international channels. I currently use a Fire TV box and Fire TV Sticks. Any suggestions on a workaround in Kodi or a different app all together are most welcome. Thanks!

I know I am not doing this in Kodi. But here is how I do it. I have two providers on STB emulator and toggle between profiles when I want to choose one one or the other. Alternatively with Perfect Player you can set up two providers and two EPG and they will aggregate them all together with a subscript of 1 or 2 when you scroll through the channel groups.

I was able to do this with vader and flawless on 16.1 jarvis with pvr iptv simple client 1 and 2. Idk if it would work on krypton but this is what worked for me

As far as xml files i just put remote urls into both and seemed to work. Once ya get it working its nice, Only problem is trying to organize the channels. It doesnt like to work only thing i was able to do is make a custom group

Yeah simple client is everything but simple thats for sure, its pretty buggy, did you try deleting data in live tv general settings and live tv guide settings? Or put in the new librtmp file? Just might be SOL til theres a better addon. Personally i find ivue to be a lil less of a headache.
