Dreamlink T1 vs MAG 254

Hi all! I am looking to purchase a dedicated box for IPTV and am trying to decide between the Dreamlink T1 and the MAG 254. I am located in Australia and the Dreamlink T1 is around $30 more expensive (via reputable Bay sellers).

I was wondering what you guys feel would be the better choice? What is the main differences between the 2 boxes in regards to IPTV?

The main features I want is something thats easy to use with good picture quality, quick interface and channel selection, catchup and timeshift functionality and nice remote control (don't want a cheap and nasty remote control).

I have the T1 and love it! Very easy to use and has the flexibility of an android box. Quality, channel change and guide are all excellent.

I have never used a Mag, but I went through what you are going through and in all my research, I don't remember ever reading someone saying they preferred the Mag if they had tried both.

One warning though...the Dreamlink remote sucks! Its cheap and clicks. Pretty much the same as my other android box. Not a huge isssue for me though because a logitech harmony universal is the best money I have spent on my home entertainment system! Works beautifully with the Dreambox.

Although I haven't used a MAG 254, I did extensive research before making the decision to get a T1. My decision came down to the guide and the ability to have Android at the same time. I have zero regrets about choosing the T1, it's made IPTV like a true cable/satellite provider experience.

Yes. Logitech has Dreamlink in their compatible devices list. I've also read that its possible to use cheaper universals and set it up as a Coolsat remote but for the $50 of a harmony 650, its hardly worth the trouble.

As of right now, my personal preference is the T1
