Resellers providing the same stream

by jawgee

If two different resellers are providing the same stream (say, Flawless in this example), is the only differentiation price and service or do the resellers have any allowances to change channel listings, EPG service, etc.?

I'm testing out Peace Country right now, but also requested a trial of FabTV. I just noticed they both used Flawless, so I'm curious if I'll come across anything different in their actual service. Still waiting on FabTV to get back to me, so can't make a comparison at the moment.

The FabIPTV guy just returned back from being unavailable. He should be back in full strength soon. The answer to your question. They are coming from the same sources. There is a difference, Peace Country is a true reseller using Facebook. They bill you and provide support to Flawless. You connect directly to Flawless. FabIPTV has their own servers.. that are right next to Flawless. They take Flawless's and then route it to their servers. When you subscribe to FabIPTV, you connect to their servers. You pay them they handle support. They restream Flawless. They are a bit flexible because they can supposed change to another provider if Flawless goes away...

Resellers can't modify epg or channel listing or anything. The only difference is profit margins and pricing.

Thanks for the feedback. It sounds like it's a slightly different case for FabTV which is good to know.

I tested out Peace Country last night in Kodi. While many of the streams I tested looked great, I was only able to get about 5 minutes into a show before it would stop working. Tried to restart a stream and would run into the same problem until eventually none of the streams worked and a generic error message popped up in Kodi telling me that the stream could not play and was written to the error log. I made the mistake of testing it out in front of The Wife and she was not impressed. :(

At this point I don't know if it was PC/Flawless having the problem or if my Kodi settings need to be tweaked or if I would have better luck with STBEmu? Or is this just the way it is with IPTV in general?

Unfortunately, a 24h trial just isn't long enough to test all of that. I'm sure as I try out other services I'll get faster at testing. I'm just worried that IPTV is just not up to The Wife's (or my) standards. We cut the cord years ago, so we're not expecting cable quality service, but if it's just marginally better than some of the free services that we've been using than we'll keep it free. Am I expecting too much out of IPTV restreaming services?

FabIPTV has stream m3u stream links that look something like fabiptv.co.uk:4545/live/..../123.ts. fabiptv.co.uk has IP adress 51.254.197.61. This IP address resolves to flawless-iptv.net.
