any providers allowing the use of VPN?

by whathefoxsay

Been trying to find a good sevice with high quality Nordic channels to use on kodi. But from what I can see, most/all do not allow VPN. why not? what are peoples opinion on using these services without any encryption or anonymity?

Ace TV does not restrict VPN access on its International package (including Nordic channels) - /r/AceTV/ Restricting VPN access makes it a little more difficult for DDoS attacks (but not much more difficult). Disallowing VPN is a 'standard' function in the software that many providers use so the restriction tends to get turned on by default.

I use VPN but a router based VPN that tunnels all traffic behind it so that I can use my MAG254 that as far as I know doesn't support a local VPN client. Works perfectly with Rapid.. but if they allow it or not.. I don't know, don't care.

Correct. Get a router that allows you to hard code the proxy/VPN

Can an IPTVprovider explain why VPN is not allowed?

I have used many providers (Rapid, Necro, camdserver IPTV package and so on) all with no issues using VPN even though some more explicitly are against VPN servers.

It could be possible that you might have a hard time using them with larger VPN services like private internet access but other than that you should be good with any. Get a trial and see if it works with your service.
