The source (I think) is probably the same one, for example tonights Leicester game was on the exact same 7 channel numbers on both providers ( 1, 5, 21, 22, 78, 88, 93) but the SS feed was around 50 seconds ahead of the vader feed.

Both providers look to have lost Sky Sports in HD, they both show SD only from Ireland, Vader though show Sky Sport News in HD and Smoothstreams is SD, The BT feed on vader is constant, on SS it is only for live games, and BT sport 1 is HD on vader but SD on Smoothstreams.

If you want only sports then Smoothstreams would be my choice, if you want sport and terrestrial then go for vader.

Vader use to be awesome but lately channels have been freezing and down often.... Still a nice service for the price. SS I have had very very few problems out of been a customer for 2 years.

Smoothstreams quality is great. Too bad theyre dicks. Cancelled my account because someone else was accessing it without my knowledge. Wouldnt even allow me to do a password reset.

I have both of these services right now. I've had SmoothStreams for about 6 months, and had Vader for 1 month last fall, and now since the beginning of the month.

For me (android box with Kodi), SmoothStreams is way more reliable than Vader is. That said, Vader is the whole package - easy setup, EPG, Matchcenter. If everything worked all the time, or if they provided some sort of support, I'd vote for them 100%. But as it is, if something I want to watch is on both services, I'll pick smoothstreams every time. Just my two cents.

do vader stream allow multiple device to connect? or that's only smoothstreams, I really only need it for sports.... but would have 3 device (kodi/plex)
