cccam (or newcamd) both require a satellite feed and satellite tuner. completely different than iptv. also, given new encryption, can't get any HD in uk. where they do work they generally are superior to iptv but requires more equipment. think iptv is future but not there yet...
I use some newcamd servers, and they are fantastic. As others have mentioned, it's basically satellite.
In the USA, you'd likely have D!sh, and in Canada you would have B3ll.
Dreamlink makes the T4 which is your SD receiver, and the T5 which is the HD. Both are FANTASTIC devices and will get you all the stations. It's cheaper than iptv, and gets you basically a legit 1080i feed from either provider.
The downside is, you wouldn't get internationals, of course. So you're limiting yourself to a couple hundred stations rather than a couple thousand with iptv.
Basically, what you guys need to lookup is IKS or internet key sharing. You'll find everything you need to know.
Another downside is youre linked to your satellite dish. For some people this is not an option. But if it is, it's 1000x better than iptv
