You are not alone. My Droid Box using express app has issues as well to the point where I want a t1 lol
Have the EXACT same setup my man. Android with IPTV express.
So, a couple things - they apparently have zero issues with a MAG box (which I am thinking about grabbing), but it does work. The handshake may fail a couple times - either "failed to get portal" or fail while getting channels.
I usually just stay in the IPTV app instead of getting out of it and going back in - just stay at the category screen.
Another issue is the guide may not populate until you move past it, then back into it. Small annoyance, but is what it is.
Trying to think of other stuff I've noticed....
Some of the sports channels don't work. MLB Network doesn't work for example, and some of the "USA" channels audio are out of sync with the picture. It's hit and miss though.
So i'm not sure if it's an Android thing, or an issue with them?
So my Express App is working okay today. (I wouldn't say great, as the EPG is lagging).
Perhaps it was a slow internet issue, as Rogers has been a bit unreliable around the GTA lately. If you're wondering, here's a great resource for looking at internet outages - http://canadianoutages.com/
Anyways, I want to set up Express through the STB Emu app, which I've had more success with in the past. I worry that it won't be easy as I've got a MAC address that is tied to the Express app. I'll keep you posted!
I think you all are going about this the wrong way.
The stalkertv app is 100 percent officially available for use with stalker servers, made by the same company that makes the server software.
No emulation needed.
I reviewed that app with iptv express on my mobile device, but the same experience should he had on a set top box.
I highly recommend you guys watch the review videos if you haven't already.
Stbsmu and the official express app csnt come close to a mag, OR the official stalkertv app.
I think you should stop playing with add-ons, emulators, workarounds and use supported software and or box.
UPDATE: Seller provided me with a new MAC address for the STB emu. Took a little while to load after set up, but is working like a dream! (Obligatory plug for iptvplanet.ca - the seller is great! Got back to me within the hour)
What app are you using? Can you give us some more details on your box? The more details you can provide the better and we will see what we can do to get you up and running.
IPTV Express actually has their own apk that comes pre-configured. Have you tried that app?
If not, you could give that a go. This will require you to give the new mac address to your reseller however so he can activate it.
It's well documented that generic android boxes don't do stalker based providers very well if you're using Kodi or Emulation. But, I'd certainly exhaust all my options before getting a proper box. It doesn't hurt to try!
Express for me has been rock solid when up, however they did have an hour or 2 outage about 2 weeks ago when they were making changes (to I think VOD, not sure).
