I'm trying to find a good choice to get my parents to cut the cord. I use Ace IPTV but the Canadian content isn't the best (since that's not their main attraction) so it won't fly for my parents. Can anyone recommend an IPTV service that will work with kodi boxes, that is full of Canadian & American channels? Added bonus if I can pay yearly. Thanks, looking for personal recommendations, or maybe some free trials for a couple days to try myself.
You're settings yourself up for failure on a couple points. One being never pay for a year of service. Many (if not most) resellers that sell you a year will keep your money for the false promises and if the service stops after a month you're out all that money.
If you don't want to remember to pay monthly, set up recurring subscription with auto renewal on a monthly basis through PayPal or credit card. All good resellers will give you this option. (if you can't find any, pm me)
No legit reseller will even offer you one year service. Most offer 3 months MAX because they care about their customers.
Additionally, I'm in the same boat as you and wanted something for my parents who are seniors. Please consider a proper iptv box for them!
If you like tinkering and troubleshooting and playing with emulators or kodi without proper epg and lack of vod, thats okay. But don't put this on your parents. Trust me. I've been there, done this.

Additionally, all the servers used in the videos have almost the completed Canadian channel lineup.

My parents use reustv.net - very easy to setup on kodi and they have a $2 trial for you to check it out. Lots of Canadian & US content.
I would avoid paying yearly since you never know if the provider will be shut down during that time. I'd stick with 1-3 months if I were you.

Check with epic. Canadian focused(French and English), a lot of their us/ca streams are Canadian feeds so you get the .ca commercials.
