Do you have a T1 and don't like it?
The T1 has STB Emu right in it's marketplace...
Not sure why anyone would want to use it, but it works just fine.
I was in the same boat as you, was new to IPTV and had 1st gen Fire TV's so performance was so-so. Bought a T1 on Amazon and while the experience was ok for IPTV I couldnt run any other decent apps on it (Netflix,Kodi(Had old Version),etc.). I sent it back and sold all my Fire TV's and got 3 Mi Box's. Switched my streams back from STB's to the m3u lists. The STB runs well if you only have one provider but I use a couple different ones. I am currently using IPTV Extreme on the mi box's and its not bad once you customize it some, I also like the record feature that is built in to it.
Mine runs it just as good as my firetv box and shield.
