Probably the ones who have been around for longer than 2 years are not even mentioned in this subreddit often

Hey,

I just recently got involved with IPTV...

I have tried about 4 or 5 different companies services..

let me tell you my experience thus far

First one I tried was DirectIPTV... while they have a good selection of channels, there's a bunch of them that simply do not work. also when using it with Kodi, I could not get any EPG data to load, so all I could see was the channels, but never any information about what was currently playing or what was coming up in the schedule.. The ONE thing that I DO like about it was the fact that all the channel logos automatically loaded, BUT this is really not an issue since you can manually add your own logos, which wouldn't take too long really, maybe a couple hours to do it manually for each channel.

SecureIPTV

If you want a shitload of channels, this is the one you want, lol, alot of them are foreign unfortunately, BUT there are alot of good English channels, and some channels that I haven't found with other providers, such as like 8 channels of MLB Gameday (or whatever it is actually called, I forget) and the same with NHL, and NFL as well...if you try loading this with Kodi, it will take you 20 minutes everytime you load Kodi to load your channels (I shit you not) in the end Kodi just froze anyways.. You can get a Free 24 hour trial from this company, and the guy who runs it is pretty generous in giving multiple trial m3u links..so worth trying.. However if you want to just check out the channels I suggest you download "VLC Media Player" and then go "Media" > "Open network stream" and then paste the link they send you into the box that pops up...The biggest issue I have with this provider, is it's like ONE person running it, and the guy is like horrible at speaking English, as if his native language is not English. I asked him what his native language is, so I could speak to him in that using Google Translate, but the guy says his native language is English.. lol, I attempted to explain to him like 3 times what channels I want removed from the playlist, and even created a very well laid out diagram showing what channels I wanted, and I have yet to receive a reply..

IPTVChannels

These guys offer a decent amount of channels, however they use a MAC address for you to connect to their service, which sucks cuz you can't take the device your using (me I have the Nvidia Shield) to like a friends place and watch TV, cuz it simply won't work..your MAC address is linked to your ISP...They have alot of VOD movies to choose from, and they look really good, and another bonus is the fact that they do have a bunch of channels in 4K, so that's pretty good.

However you have to use their google app with their service, and to be honest I don't really care for the way the app looks, and there's not really a guide, just a couple lines at the bottom of the screen showing you what's coming up next, so not really a traditional guide.. and they don't have good support either.. I had made a mistake and I require them to create a new MAC address for me (Based on mine), and they have yet to reply to me to do this.. So I don't know...

This is my favorite one at the moment..unlike DirectIPTV I am able to see a fully functioning EPG guide, which tells me what is currently playing, and what is coming up. I don't want to make it sound too good to be true, but honestly, I looked for any channels that don't work, and I think I found ONE channel that doesn't work.

The channel selection is really good. I can't say for sure if I'm getting every possible channel that I would want, as compared to OTHER IPTV providers, as it's hard to do a side by side comparison unless you use Excel, and even then it's kinna hard to compare them..

A good way to compare them though, is by downloading both Kodi, and SPMC, SPMC is IDENTICAL to Kodi in every single way, the only difference is the name, and the splash screen.

SPMC has the added bonus however of being able to do Voice Searching for movies and tv shows if you're running it on an Nvidia Shield..

anyways.. run Kodi, with one IPTV provider loaded onto it, and then run SPMC with another IPTV provider, and then go through and compare the channels.

I HIGHLY suggest that you download the Kodi/SPMC skin 1080Xperience, this is pretty amazing for Live TV.

Getting back to the pros and cons of TheIPTVGuys..

The one con I can think of is that the channel logos don't really load, but again, not an issue cuz you can load them yourself manually..

I would say if you want a service that actually works, that has a really good selection of HD channels, that you can use anywhere (not just at one location) that works properly with the EPG Guide inside Kodi, then I would choose this one...One thing to note is they DO also use a MAC address, but it's different, because they don't create one based on YOUR MAC address, they just create their own, so that's why you can use this anywhere.

Anyways, give this one a try, and let us know what you think!

Not sure, I think IPGuys has been around for quite some time though....
