Canadian IPTV & Box Options

by morinr

Hello guys. I am moving and looking to basically get a box to stream Canadian/US sports (Hockey & Baseball) and some tv. Plus the option for Kodi for other media. I was thinking of getting one of the new dreamlink (T1+?) as those appear to work the best for everything. Unless I have missed something or not understood it. Then will be looking for someone with good servers in the West end GTA. Any help is appcreiated! Don'tw ant to get riped off and buy a crap box or service that will not meet my wants. Cheers Edit box name from t1+6, to t1+. Don't know where I got the 6 from.

If you're in the west end of the gta, then that's going to be a huge advantage to you! Most of all the suppliers are out that way.

I think the box you speak of is thr dreamlink t1 plus (not tur t6). The t1 plus is the same as the t1 but is supposed to have pvr functionality if you connect an external hard drive (thus, effectively increasing it's overall price even further).

Since all the main servers offer on demand and timeshitfting/catchup, many are going to pass on the plus. That said, if you are new to iptv and just starting out, and if money is not an issue, I'd probably get the plus.

You also mentioned you want thr best box, well to be honest thr dreamlink, while it does iptv extremely well, is not necessarily the best box.

It uses a very old version of Android, and some hardcore Android users prefer the more powerful avov lineup of boxes. Personally I use an avov tvonline4.

On thr flipside, if you want the best iptv and don't care about extra features, the mag 254 is the goto box and it'd rock solid based on Linux.

Nobody can tell you what is thr best for you, but consider checking out the video reviews in the sticky over at /r/iptvgta

That subreddit is for GTA locals like is, and has very strict rules against spamming so you can be sure you're getting just the info you ask for :)

It sounds to me like you are looking for a really good kodi experience along with a proper stb iptv experience. As a T1 owner I can say I don't think thats the T1 in all honesty unless they upgrade their android OS to allow for kodi 17. I have never used an Avov box but it might be the right one for you. Check out some reviews and read alot before your purchase and you will be happy. Educating yourself is always the best idea. This is a good start. Good luck.

I have been using IPTV Ninja on trial for $10 CDN, is it $20 CDN/month afterwards which compares to all the other services that are $12-$15 USD with exchange rates. It has many channels and the service is quick. He accepts major credit cards, visa/debit card or EMT. There is a Canadian Group which has all channels, the Sports group has duplicates of TSN's and Sportnets for sports, and the kids also has all channels. Also PPV section which contains NHL 1-10, NBA 1-10 and hopefully once MLB starts there will be the PPV channels there too. There is also many US channels and European stuff as well...I am using it on my T1 with no issues...I have been watching the Raptors and Leafs games with 99% uptime. Looking forward to the Jays season starting!!

EDIT: I bought the T1 so I could use Kodi and netflix (have access to friends account) for on demand use, and it works fine, right now it is an older release but I prefer the older release compared to the v17, I have no issue watching movies and tv shows.

Dropped Bell Fibe which was $197/month to Sunwire, now paying less than $90/month with an IPTV sub!!
