Hey lads, ill apologise in advance, I'm relatively new to IPTV. What I'm wondering is, is the mag 250 still a worthwhile box to buy or should i be looking at the 254, 256? Also is there any other recommended makes out there? I've googled but the majority of search results are sites flogging the boxes with overpriced subscriptions. Thanks for the help guys
It really depends what you want. If you just want a rock solid iptv experience based on Linux, I'd go for the 254.
If you need Android, dreamlink or avov are good options.

I have the mag 250 and think it's pretty good. No issues whatsoever. No reason to upgrade.

Yes, still relevant. Matter of fact, the STB Emulator defaults to MAG 250 to emulate. However like all technology, it is not going to be fast. Your zapping time is not going to be ideal. Would you be okay if it a second or two for it to change channels? Most people here go with a Mag 254 or a Dreamlink T1.
