At this point, I don't think there's any way to do this. This has to be enabled on the server side I believe.
Using Kodi for iptv sucks because you lose a lot of functionality. Take it from someone who up until recently I swore by Kodi until I found dedicated IPTV STB's. Save yourself the nightmare and buy an STB. I suggest the dreamlink T1 or T1+
Kodi + tvheadend should have that functionality. If using LibreELEC on device like RPi 3, with tvheadend addon, most of the work is already done.
Although I have a Dreamlink T1, I still end up going back to Kodi + tvheadend most of the time. Although the image quality is better on the T1, I like to have more control over channel naming, groups, interface appearance etc, and Kodi provides this. I create my own custom m3u list and my own EPG (now using Schedules Direct). More importantly, I use tvheadend to record programs that flag commercial start/end points using comskip. Kodi will then play the recording and skip over the commercials.
