The newest Kodi requires android 5.0. The T1+ runs kitkat.
You are stuck with the Kodi that is on there. Advice is to get an Android TV with Kodi. T1 is only good for IPTV and that is pretty much it. The app that has IpTV on it barely works.
I was considering the T1 Plus. I am very glad that I read this thread first.
