Please Help - IPTV on Sony Bravia

by gingeralepapi

Hi all,

I'm new to the world of IPTV and would like to get set up. I have a Sony Bravia TV (model number KDL32W705B). Looking at the app list on here i can't find the "smart IPTV" application. I assume my model is old and that's why it doesn't have the android app store. My question is, is there a way to download the APK for smart iptv on my laptop and install it on my TV or is there any other way I can download the app onto my smart tv?

Thanks in advance

All the information you require is within this sub reddit.

I'll briefly explain...

Youre not gonna get and iptv app on your Bravia. I have one and can tell you from research myself. This isn't possible.

For simple / cheap easy fix I'd maybe recommend you starting with a fire stick. There are hundreds of tutorials on how to set up an STB emu (set top box emulator) on this.

An STB is a dedicated box designed specifically for IPTV. A Google / YouTube search of Mag, dreamlink or Avov will give you an idea of how these work and the advantages of these. Also check out r/iptvgta - there's a sticky thread with reviews of many of the boxes I've just mentioned.

Smart IPTV is available on Samsung and LG TVs plus Sony android TVs. With other 'smart' TVs as /u/MrSighman suggests, you need an external device such as a fire stick, Mag box, android box, etc.

If your TV is Android based and you have access to Google play store grab stb emu or perfect player. If it's old, it might be laggy and you'd want a set top box.
The only TV's that use smart IPTV or what ever is Samsung and LG (I think)

Is smart tv iptv on Samsung LG a dedicated iptv service application like the mag has?

If you have a web browser with flash, our service may work.

Ottplayer also may be an app available to you. It will accept a m3u link.
