Looking for a good paid IPTV service (KODI)

by Guarocuya

I currently have a PS4, Amazon Fire TV latest generation and 2016 Tizen OS Samsung Smart TV (8000 series)

I am looking for a paid IPTV service, preferably with KODI addon where I can get the following, listed in order of importance to me:

  1. Stable connection with little buffering (I have a 100 Mbps connection currently)
  2. Full HD quality, 1080p.
  3. UFC.
  4. Movie channels.

That's it. I don't need 1,500 channels. Just UFC for the guys, movies for the wife and a good, stable connection with little buffering. I am willing to pay for this.

Thanks for all the help guys!

I have a 100 Mbps connection currently

You could even have 1Gbps it won't fix buffering... If you have a bad route or your ISP is somehow throttling streaming services or the provider has issues/bad servers, you'll get buffering.

It's part of the deal, for everyone. Some minimize to the best they can but it still happens.

For sports, SmoothStreams is the way to go, they can afford the bandwidth for high quality streams, although, they suck with the rest, like news/movies. For movies, you might wanna have a look at something else.

PlayStation Vue or Direct TV Now, sling tv. Your list isn't compatible with iptv.

  1. number 1, your gonna have buffering, your gonna have downtime. It's just how it works for the price. However if you want minimal buffering get a dedicated box such as a mag254. If you insist on kodi I know dexter and Vader and epicstream do ok. You will have some buffering though. And down time is unavoidable

  2. 1080p streams. Bro. Cable isn't even 1080p, it's either 720 or 1080i. So yeah, not gonna happen, you'll get near close to 720p but yeah, not much better.

  3. Most everyone does movie channels and UFC so no issues there whatsoever.

I recommend you try /r/PeaceCountryIPTV/ , they have a great selection of US/CA and UK channels plus an amazing coverage of sports. In addition to that, their VOD amount and quality is awesome. Send a message to /u/Maniac1000 and get your free trial to see it by yourself.

Try FabIPTV , it works on Kodi and Amazon Fire devices.

  1. I've found the connection to be stable, see my review here .
  2. I think this is a bit of a big ask - as everyone else has said, you need to worry about a good bitrate, not the resolution.
  3. Carries Fox Sports channels with UFC, plus dozens of other sport channels.
  4. Has loads of UK and US film channels, e.g. Sky Movies, HBO.

Fab Channel List .

There's not thousands of channels, I think there's over 200 including the sports, but they're all in English and I'm sure plenty for you!

Cheers. You gotta start somewhere no worries

It's not that it's not compatible on kodi, it just not make to run iptv. There are dedicated programs that run iptv a lot better than kodi. There are even some iptv services that have their own apk and everything. In regards to the spreadsheet, look more at the bitrate than the hd quality they list. Yes they are streaming a 1080p source, however due to bandwidth restrictions and server restrictions, you will get less than that. That said you will typically get 720p ish he quality with any channel they say is HD.

there's some good stb emulators for your Samsung tv if it's a smart tv which I think you said it was?

It is compatible. A Max or t1 or avov or w/e will not fix your buffering. That is either a connection issue that can almost always be fixed or it's on the server end not having the bandwidth.

You will not get 1080p but can find very good 720 streams. Bitrate is very important.

I am in a similar situation. I am only interested in 10 or 15 channels with a strong focus on UFC and other live sports. For movies and TV shows I am good with Kodi. At first I did a couple of the sports specific IPTV services. Sports Access was good when it worked but faced DDOS attacks constantly. Smooth Streams was perfect but I figured if I can pay the same amount for an IPTV service that has more than just sports programming I'd get more bang for my buck.

I am currently doing a month of Epic. It has been mostly positive. I have had some buffering issues. I haven't isolated the issue to the service yet but I am 99% sure it is on them. For events like the UFC I have had to do some channel hunting for a feed without issue. For the UFC prelims their FS1 feed had buffering issues so I ended up on a Canadian TSN channel. Spike TV had problems during a Bellator event as well and there aren't CA and UK alternatives so I was stuck with the buffering. I've only done one PPV with them and their BT Sports feed was top quality with no buffering. They have a PPV events channel as well but didn't check it.

This past weekend I did a 1 day free trial for FabIPTV and it seems to work better. At least it did for that 1 day. None of the channels that I tried had buffering issues. The guide is much more complete. Epic has maybe a little more than half of its channels on the guide. Most of the channels that I am interested in are included in that half. Fab's is much better if you want to casually browse what is on every channel though. It is almost 100% complete. Fab's Kodi addon is excellent as well. I love that you can just input your login information in the addon and it will configure the portal and guide for you. Only having a controller instead of mouse and keyboard sucks for inputting URLs. I did not try out their time shifting or on demand content as they are not priorities for me and I only had the one day to try it. When I turned it on Sunday morning and my 1 day trial had expired I was sad I had to switch back to Epic.

When my month with Epic is done I will likely try a month of FabIPTV. A friend of mine is currently trying their service for a month so I will have his input on it too. I might give IPGUYS a go instead since it seems to be one of the more popular services.

If you find full quality 1080p please also let me know.

Out of the 20 or so servers I've tried none have that.

Not to mention most legit broadcasting isn't even 1080p...

Hey

I am a reseller for Epicstream. Epicstream is focused on high quality feeds, but not all channels are 1080p. Most of our feeds are 720p, but they are probably one of the best in the industry.

Check out a free trial or a 1 month subscription information at /r/epicstream

Epicstream Channel List: http://pastebin.com/g5pj5waG

We carry everything you have asked for and our primary focus remains USA/CAN/UK market with sports, sports and more sports (including UFC)

As for movies, Epicstream has tons of movie channels and VOD. VOD includes movies and latest TV Shows.

Although some providers are more stable than others, you will experience downtime no doubt. I hit 170mbps DL and UL and still experience buffering. Lots of providers I have seen only provide SD, 720P and a few 1080p streams, but there are so many to choose from! I would recommend IPTVExpress, but lately they have been going through stability and EPG issues. I recently got a trial of Epicstreams that seems pretty good. Might use it for a replacement until express figures out WTF they are doing.

  • Step 1. Sell Fire TV (If low on funds)
  • Step 2. Buy T1 or T1+ (Install FTMC for a fork of Kodi 17.1)
  • Step 3. ?????Profit?????
  • Step 4. Thank me for the awesome how-to guide ;)
