Are there any IPTV packages out there that stream Sky Sports at 50 fps?

NecroIPTV does, but cannot assure you an uptime of 100% for the 1080p channels.

This is what's really holding iptv back imo...25fps is acceptable on a smaller screen but you try watching 25fps sports on a big screen it looks terrible....a lot of newer TVs have a feature which implements motion interpolation, i.e..they can take a 25fps source, generate the missing frames on the fly to give u 50fps output...sometimes referred to as the soap opera effect, but my TVs a bit old so doesn't have it :(

I think what SS do is run their streams through interpolation software, SVP does this, I've been playing around with it recently, but it'll never give the same quality output as dedicated hardware chips do, which is what newer TVs are incorporating.

Last time I checked Smoothstreams offered sky sports at 50fps, however it isn't always 720p and very rarely is it 1080p.

SS has but there is currently a lot of downtime on all the skys so can't really recommend. Their US/CAN sourced is 60fps though.

SS's Sky source isn't true 50fps, it's being re-encoded from a 25fps source. You can definitely see it if you record their stream and analyse the frames.
