I am guessing you have tried /r/epicstream already? You are right though that most streams are Canadian only (for now). It's going to change in the coming weeks or maybe a little longer.

Epicstream recently added some USA Streams like Weather Channel USA, HGTV HD USA, ABC Spark, etc. I expect a lot more in the coming weeks.

I really wish there was a good American service provider. Most claim to be but then when you dig into it you realize it's all Canadian and U.K. feeds.....

Try FabIPTV , they have a bunch of US channels, as well as some Canadian. If you read my review here , I mention that Canada seems to be the source of a lot of channels, however if I were you I'd just open up a ticket and request the US versions be added.
